Forex transactions, remittance support, and related booking services require identity, purpose, payment, travel, and document verification as applicable under RBI, FEMA, PMLA, AML/CFT, and internal compliance controls.
Documents May Include
- PAN, Aadhaar or other accepted identity/address documents.
- Passport, visa, travel, ticket, purpose, relationship, bank, or payment documents depending on transaction type.
- Additional documents requested by compliance reviewers for lawful verification.
Document Handling
Documents must be genuine, current, and submitted by an authorised user. OCR/API checks may assist review, but final acceptance may require human compliance review.
Optional Automated Assistance
Where the feature is available, you may make separate choices for each pax:
- Document extraction: the uploaded ID image, visible text, layout and image-quality signals may be processed on KapnoxForex's private OCR service to suggest form values and route the document for review.
- Face similarity: facial images in the pax profile photo and uploaded ID may be converted into temporary mathematical representations to produce an advisory similarity score. This is not liveness detection and does not prove identity.
Neither option is required to upload a document; manual entry and human review remain available. Each option requires a separate affirmative account-level choice and applies to all existing and future pax created under that account. The account holder confirms that they are the traveller or are authorized to act for every traveller whose data they submit. Either choice can be withdrawn from the document-upload screen. Withdrawal stops future consent-based automated processing and removes stored AI-derived results for pax created by the account; source KYC documents and records may continue to be retained where required by law.
Automated outputs may be incomplete or incorrect. They do not by themselves approve a document, verify identity, or make a final eligibility decision.
Refusal Or Hold
Transactions may be held, rejected, escalated, or reported where required by law, incomplete KYC, suspicious activity, mismatch, prohibited purpose, or missing evidence.
Data Protection & Retention
- KYC documents and identifiers are stored with access controls and encryption-at-rest, and access to sensitive documents is logged.
- Aadhaar numbers are displayed only in masked form (last four digits) in line with the Aadhaar Act and UIDAI norms.
- KYC and transaction records are retained for the period mandated under the RBI KYC Master Direction and PMLA (Maintenance of Records) Rules — generally five years from the end of the business relationship or transaction — after which they are securely disposed of.
- You may exercise your rights (access, correction, erasure subject to lawful retention) under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 via the Grievance / Data Protection contacts.
